Watercolor print featuring Father Emil Kapaun.

Father Emil Kapaun was a chaplain in the Army during World War II and the Korean
War. He was captured and taken as a prisoner of war in Korea in 1950. During his time
as a POW, he did all he could to defy his captors, support and raise the morale of his
fellow prisoners, and lead services. He was gravely ill and near death, but found the
strength to lead sunrise Easter services shortly before his death.
