Watercolor print featuring Saint Dymphna.
Saint Dymphna was born to a pagan father and a deeply devout Christian mother and when Dymphna was 14, she consecrated herself to Christ and took a vow of chastity. Dymphna, though still very young, built a hospital to serve the poor and sick. She was so devoted to Christ that she was willing to defy her father and the cultural norms of her day and become a martyr at the age of 15.
