Watercolor print featuring Saint Margaret of Scotland.
After a childhood of turmoil, Margaret married King Malcom of Scotland and they had 8 children together, living as a deeply devout Catholic family. As queen, she helped Malcolm become a virtuous king and together they prayed, ministered to the sick, and lived as great example of living faith. She constantly aided to the sick and poor in Scotland, helped to build churches throughout Scotland, and encouraged the Scots to live devout lives of prayer and holiness. Her impact of virtue and piety was so great on Scotland, she became known as “The Pearl of Scotland.”
